Volkswagen Anhui and the Zhong 07 model announced production resumption on September 17

On September 17, Volkswagen Anhui announced that production of the ID. UNYX 07 has officially resumed. The company stated that vehicle delivery timelines had previously been delayed due to adjustments in production capacity. According to the official statement, through coordinated efforts across multiple parties, the company has overcome challenges related to chip supply. The production line is now operating at full speed, and the team is ramping up output to accelerate vehicle deliveries. Volkswagen emphasized that it will continue adhering to its German-engineered quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process and will not compromise overall vehicle quality for the sake of faster deliveries. The brand also committed to continuously updating the market on progress regarding production capacity and delivery schedules. The ID. UNYX 07 is a battery-electric sedan developed by Volkswagen Anhui based on the localized CEA (China Electronic Architecture) electrical and electronic platform. Production of this model was previously disrupted due to temporary shortages of chip components, leading to extended delivery times for customer orders. With the production line now fully operational again, backlogged orders will be gradually scheduled and delivered.
