On September 15, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) and Aito jointly issued statements announcing that, effective immediately, Aito would explore a new cooperation model under the HIMA framework, with the Aito brand operating as an exclusive and dedicated entity. On September 18, Kang Bo, Director and Vice President of Seres Group, responded to related matters. Kang Bo stated that under the new cooperation model, Seres will take the lead in product definition, product design, brand marketing, channel retail, and service systems for Aito, with Huawei Device Business Group providing enabling support. Aito remains a member of HIMA. Seres holds a 10% stake in Shenzhen Yinwang Technology Co., Ltd. As a shareholder, Aito will continue to benefit from Huawei’s technological, product, and supply chain assurances. To date, Aito has established over 400 user centers across more than 200 cities nationwide. Existing rights and ongoing services—including OTA updates—for Aito’s current base of 1.2 million users remain unaffected. Aito has rolled out an upgraded user service policy, including Aito Smart Home Service, AI Cloud Diagnostic Service, and compensation for delayed minor bodywork and paint repairs. The “Aito Grand Hotel” service has also been relaunched. In terms of models, the Aito M5, M6, M7, M8, and M9 already span multiple price segments. Aito plans to enter the sedan, MPV, and other vehicle segments at an appropriate time. On the supply chain front, Seres has gathered 20 supply chain partners. Aito vehicles are equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving system, Harmony Cockpit, and CATL battery packs. Aito has cumulatively delivered over one million vehicles to date. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Seres’ founding. Aito will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, with current priorities focused on adapting and certifying its products to meet target market standards.
