On November 2, the Polestar 2 officially ended production. Since its launch in mid-2020, the model has achieved cumulative global sales of over 190,000 units over six years, with approximately 40,000 of those sold in the UK. Its sales have now been surpassed by the Polestar 4 crossover. Polestar's factories in China, Norway, and Sweden are no longer accepting orders for the Polestar 2, though inventory is still available for sale in the UK market. Polestar has previously revealed the exterior design of the next-generation Polestar 2, which is slightly longer than the current model's 4.6 meters. Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller stated that the new-generation Polestar 2 will retain all the strengths of the current model while addressing some of the issues present in previous versions.
