Auto Industry Going Global Innovation and Development Conference Held in Chengmai, Hainan on November 1

On November 1, the Automotive Industry Going Global Model Innovation and Development Conference, jointly hosted by the China EV100 Research Institute and Hainan Qinglan Zhilian Technology Co., Ltd., was held in Chengmai, Hainan. With the theme of "Industrial Integration, Collaborative Going Global," the conference was chaired by Shi Jianhua, Vice Chairman of the China EV100 Research Institute and Dean of China EV100 Think Tank Research Institute. Sheng Yongjun, Secretary of the Chengmai County Party Committee, and Xu Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Chengmai County Party Committee and County Mayor, attended the conference. During the conference, Sun Xiaohong, former Secretary-General of the Automotive Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products; Zhang Yanhua, President of the China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association; Chen Weili, Director of the Guangzhou Office of the Thailand Board of Investment; Wen Hua, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Import and Export Company; Huang Peng, Director of Public Affairs for the Southern Region of XPeng Group; and Chu Huabin, General Manager of Kyndryl (China) Information Technology Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches. The roundtable dialogue, themed "New Opportunities for the International Development of the Automotive Service Chain," was chaired by Wang Hewu, Director of the Zero-Carbon Transportation Research Center of the Institute for Carbon Neutrality at Tsinghua University and Chief Expert of China EV100 Think Tank. Zhou Lingkun, President of Linglong Tire; Zhang Xiaodong, Deputy Director of the Technology Management Center of Geely Automobile Group; Gong Dapeng, Co-founder of Shenzhen Kaisi Times Technology Co., Ltd.; and Hou Weiqiang, Vice President of Sales for China at LexisNexis Risk Information, participated in the discussion. Zhan Xingshuang, Executive Deputy Director of the Hainan Laocheng Science and Technology New City Management Committee, introduced Chengmai's planning for the new energy vehicle going-global industry and the policy changes before and after the Hainan Free Trade Port's independent customs operation. Zhan Xingshuang stated that Chengmai's automotive industry adopts a "market + customization + production organization" model. Policy changes before and after the independent customs operation include: the implementation of the zero-tariff policy and expansion of the list catalogue, expansion of the processing value-added policy, improvement of trade facilitation, and the long-term stability and effectiveness of the two 15% income tax policies granted to Hainan by the Free Trade Port Law. Cheng Hongyu, Chief Marketing Officer of the Hainan Going-Global Industry Technology City, introduced that the industry city is home to Hainan's comprehensive hub port, Macun Port. The starting area is divided into an initiation zone, an expansion zone, and an upgrading zone, mainly including a production and intelligent manufacturing park, a science and innovation R&D park, a central business park, an exhibition and trade center, and a logistics base, supported by science and innovation education and living service areas, with approximately 20,000 mu of industrial land. At present, the comprehensive service base for the industry city's going-global operations has been completed and put into use, with a total area of approximately 100,000 square meters; the enterprise service center, offline exhibition and trade center, integrated intelligent service platform, cross-border data service platform, and butler-style hotel service apartments have also been put into use simultaneously.
