2026-01-29 16:32:00The Xiaomi SU7 will receive its first facelift in April 2026—21 months after its market debut—with a starting pre-sale price of RMB 229,900, an increase of RMB 10,000 to 14,000 compared to the current model. The updated SU7 will come standard across all trims with LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and a computing chip delivering 700 TOPS of processing power. The Pro variant will offer a range of up to 902 kilometers. Clearance sales for the current-generation SU7 have already begun, with discounts exceeding RMB 20,000 on base models and up to RMB 50,000 off top-trim versions; some display vehicles are priced as low as RMB 170,000. Since its launch in March 2024, the SU7 has delivered over 360,000 units and led China’s mid-to-large new energy sedan segment in sales for a full year. However, its sales momentum notably slowed in the second half of 2025, partly due to order cannibalization from Xiaomi’s own SUV, the YU7. As Xiaomi accelerates its product portfolio expansion—planning to launch more than five new models in 2026—the SU7 facelift marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategic shift from a “hit-driven blitz” to a “systematic, long-term battle” in the automotive market.
