BYD has unveiled a new "Baiyu Gold" exterior color for its Yangwang U8L, inspired by Song Dynasty white-glazed porcelain with gold accents. The finish features a base of Fluorite White complemented by solar-prominence-inspired gold highlights and is paired with a genuine 24K gold emblem. This model is the 2026 Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition, launched on March 5. It is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology, delivering enhanced range. Additionally, it introduces three new safety features: emergency amphibious mode (automatically activated when submerged), NOA-controlled stable driving and stopping during blowouts, and comprehensive privacy protection across all scenarios. Existing owners will be able to access these upgrades via future OTA updates. The new variant starts at RMB 1.3 million.
