In a LinkedIn post, he described his tenure as “an unforgettable experience,” praising Tesla’s innovative culture and team spirit, but acknowledged that years of intense work had led him to step away temporarily to spend more time with his family. Dmytryk not only spearheaded the development of Tesla’s OTA system—which enables remote updates to Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, bug fixes, and new feature rollouts—but also reportedly dedicated around 45 hours per week assisting Elon Musk with the acquisition of X (formerly Twitter). His exit marks another significant loss in Tesla’s recent wave of key talent departures. Dmytryk has not disclosed his next steps, stating only that he plans to take time off before deciding on his future path.
