Porsche has officially confirmed it will launch an all-new, internal combustion engine (ICE)-based Cayenne, expected to debut between 2028 and 2029, continuing to offer both gasoline and hybrid variants. Ralph Käler, head of SUVs at Porsche, stated that ICE and hybrid technologies will remain a key focus for the brand over the next decade. The new model is expected to be built on Audi’s latest PPC platform, sharing core technologies with the next-generation Audi Q7 to deliver enhanced performance, greater efficiency, and improved handling. In terms of design, both exterior and interior styling will undergo comprehensive updates, potentially incorporating electrified technologies from the 911 and the yet-to-be-deployed Active Ride suspension system. The cabin may feature the “waterfall”-style large screen already seen in Porsche’s all-electric models, along with extensive personalization options. The vehicle’s dimensions will remain consistent with the current model’s positioning, and the fastback Cayenne Coupe variant will continue to be offered, as it accounts for 60% of Cayenne sales in Europe.
