2026-06-02 11:03:00XPeng Motors announced on June 2 the rollout of OTA version 6.2.0, which began in batches on May 31 and is expected to be fully deployed by June 15. This update primarily introduces the second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) full-scenario advanced driver assistance system, compatible with the 2026 G6, G9, and P7+ Ultra and Ultra SE trims. VLA 2.0 adopts an end-to-end vision-to-action direct architecture, reducing decision latency to 80 milliseconds. It can identify and navigate around irregularly shaped vehicles and cars with doors opening at the roadside, actively yield to pedestrians at night, and enhance navigation capability on roads without map guidance—delivering commuting efficiency approaching that of a human driver. The update adds a new "Navigation-Guided Pilot (NGP) Roaming" feature without requiring pre-set navigation routes. It can be activated in urban areas, campuses, and parking garages, enabling the vehicle to drive autonomously within traffic rules, maneuver around obstacles, and support human-machine collaborative driving. The new "Full-Scenario Standstill Start" function allows NGP to be engaged directly from Park (P) mode, resolving previous startup pain points. The "Curb-to-Curb" experience is further refined with a new destination parking spot option: users can choose to park in a saved/favorite spot or switch to NGP Roaming mode. The driver-assistance SR (Surround Reality) display is upgraded to a full-domain lane-level navigation system, fusing navigation paths with lane-level perception to improve clarity of driving intent. The map application now includes a "Familiar Route Smart Recommendation" feature that suggests frequently used routes based on user driving habits. It also supports a narrow-screen 1/3 split-window view, enlarged intersection graphics, and road name displays. AR-HUD gains a new map mode, available on the updated P7 and G7 models. Additional updates include a new "Efficiency" setting for parking styles, adjustable intermittent wiper sensitivity, customizable timing for side mirror unfolding, and an optimized visual layout for the status bar. Users who haven’t received an update notification by 24:00 on June 15 can manually check their vehicle’s eligibility for the upgrade or contact customer service for assistance.
