Tesla has sent emails to owners in Australia and New Zealand with HW4 hardware, notifying them that FSD (Supervised) version 14 is in the final stages of localization development and testing and will soon be officially rolled out in both countries. The email states that this version features significant performance and functional upgrades, aiming to let owners experience optimized results immediately upon launch. Previously, Tesla first introduced FSD (Supervised) V13 in Oceania nearly a year ago, exclusively for HW4-equipped vehicles. FSD V14 was initially launched in the United States and later commercially deployed in South Korea—the first country outside North America to receive the update. Since then, newly opened FSD markets such as the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Estonia have all directly adopted V14. In contrast, early launch regions like China, Australia, and New Zealand have remained on V13. Tesla is now working to unify these regions by upgrading them to V14. Recently, Tesla updated its Chinese owner’s manual and official website content, indicating preparations for a large-scale public beta test in China based on V14 (with product naming to be adjusted separately). The latest notification to Australian and New Zealand owners signals that the official rollout of V14 in these two countries is imminent. Currently, FSD V14 is only available for vehicles equipped with HW4 hardware. Tesla is developing a streamlined "FSD V14 Lite" version specifically optimized for HW3 vehicles. This Lite version retains all core functionalities while adapting the algorithms for older hardware and is expected to launch globally this summer, potentially as early as this month. Once released, HW3 owners in Australia, New Zealand, and other markets will gradually receive the upgrade.
