2026-06-18 15:24:20Porsche has announced the discontinuation of the Taycan Sport Turismo and Taycan Cross Turismo wagon variants, which will no longer be offered when the 2027 model year Taycan launches. The decision stems primarily from persistently weak sales. Data shows that Taycan sales in the U.S. peaked at 7,570 units in 2023 before declining consecutively—to 4,747 units in 2024 and further to 4,142 units in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, only 607 units were sold, down from 1,019 units during the same period in 2025. Meanwhile, Porsche’s deliveries in China fell 21% year-over-year in the first quarter, totaling just 7,519 vehicles. Given the broader slowdown in EV demand and Taycan’s limited sales volume, maintaining three body styles is no longer commercially viable.
