On July 2, 2026, the "Global Automotive Supply Chain Enterprise Competitiveness Analysis Report (2026)" was released in Shanghai, unveiling simultaneously the "Top 100 Global Automotive Suppliers 2026" and the "Top 100 Chinese Automotive Suppliers 2026." Based on multi-dimensional data—including revenue, R&D and technological innovation, global supply capabilities, and operational resilience—the report reflects structural shifts within the global automotive supply chain amid the ongoing transitions toward electrification and intelligent mobility. According to the data, the combined revenue of the Top 100 global automotive suppliers reached RMB 8.6061 trillion in 2025, an increase of 1.9% year-over-year. Notably, 91 companies that have appeared on the list for two consecutive years reported declining revenues, indicating that the industry’s modest recovery was primarily driven by newly listed enterprises, while traditional leading firms struggled to achieve growth. Significant regional shifts emerged: Europe retained its top position with 36 companies accounting for 38.9% of total revenue, though its growth largely stemmed from a rebound effect. China saw its representation rise to 20 companies, with their share of global revenue climbing to 17.2%, surpassing the United States to rank third globally. Chinese firms such as CATL, Weichai Group, and Huayu Automotive significantly improved their rankings. In contrast, Japan, the U.S., and South Korea all experienced declines in both the number of listed companies and revenue share, hindered respectively by slow transformation, demand volatility, and falling battery prices. Performance varied markedly across segments. Power batteries, automotive electronics, drive-by-wire chassis systems, and in-vehicle software emerged as key growth drivers, whereas sectors tied to internal combustion engines and low-end standardized components faced limited growth. Among China’s Top 100 suppliers, the new energy segment posted a 26.9% year-over-year revenue increase in 2025, with profit margins rising to 13.9%. The intelligent mobility segment recorded the highest R&D intensity, reaching 6.8% in automotive electronics. Luxshare Precision made its debut on the global Top 100 list at No. 66. Traditional powertrain suppliers are redefining their value by expanding into new application scenarios—for example, Cummins benefited from rising demand for backup power solutions in data centers, while Yuchai Group climbed the rankings through cross-sector business diversification. Meanwhile, competition among the Top 100 has shifted from “whether to grow” to “whether to outperform the industry’s average growth rate.” Most companies experiencing ranking declines still achieved revenue growth, but at a pace below the Top 100 average. The relationship between OEMs and suppliers is being fundamentally reshaped. Suppliers are evolving from contract manufacturers executing predefined designs to providers of full-stack solutions. Integrated capabilities encompassing chips, computing platforms, foundational software, and core algorithms have become essential for entry into the inner circle of strategic partnerships. Collaboration models are moving toward deep platform-level synergy and co-creation of ecosystems, with a supplier’s influence increasingly determined by its depth of involvement in vehicle technology roadmaps, platform architectures, and system integration. The meaning of globalization is also transforming. Today, global competitiveness is no longer measured solely by export reach but by the ability to establish localized, closed-loop operations—including R&D, validation, manufacturing, and after-sales service—in key markets. The report concludes that future industry leaders must possess robust system integration capabilities in electrification and intelligent technologies and successfully transition from “component suppliers” to “co-creators.”
