Li Auto has announced that its next-generation Li L6 will make its official debut on July 16 at 19:30. The new model introduces a fresh exterior color dubbed "Dune Yellow." It measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,735 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm—identical to the current model. The front fascia retains the brand’s signature full-width light bar but abandons the integrated bumper design seen previously, featuring a larger lower grille instead. The vehicle adopts semi-flush door handles and new wheel designs. At the rear, the taillights receive a blacked-out treatment, and the license plate mounting area has been moved upward. Inside, the cabin maintains the current model’s minimalist layout, featuring a panoramic, unified display spanning the dashboard and passenger area. The wireless phone charging pad has been repositioned lower, and ambient lighting has been added to areas such as the door panels. Under the hood, the powertrain continues to use a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender, with the engine delivering a maximum output of 113 kW. Battery capacity has been increased from 36.8 kWh to 51 kWh. The new model faces significant cost pressures due to rising prices of memory chips and lithium carbonate. Specifically, battery costs have risen by over RMB 8,000 due to both increased capacity and higher raw material prices; memory component costs have climbed by nearly RMB 4,000; and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chip now adds more than RMB 2,000 in expenses. Combined, these three factors alone raise the vehicle’s total cost by over RMB 14,000 per unit. Additional cost increases stem from upgraded components such as the Mahr M100 chip.
