At the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, MG unveiled two all-electric concept cars: the MG Go and the Cyber Concept. The MG Go is a compact two-box EV that blends design cues from classic MG models such as the MGB GT and the Group B rally-inspired MG Metro 6R4. Its front grille and headlight integration, along with the C-pillar profile, draw inspiration from the MGB GT, while its flared wheel arches echo the aggressive stance of the Metro 6R4. Despite these nostalgic references, the overall design remains distinctly modern rather than retro. The other concept, the Cyber Concept, is a large, high-performance, all-electric flagship coupe-SUV measuring nearly five meters in length. Its design takes inspiration from the EX181, a streamlined record-breaking race car from the late 1950s. Joseph Kaban, Head of Design at MG, described it as a “dream car.” While only the exterior has been revealed so far—with interior details yet to be disclosed—the brand has confirmed that the Cyber Concept will enter production. David Allison, MG’s UK Product Director, noted that the vehicle might be sold under the IM Motors (Zhi Ji) brand in certain markets but may not be launched in the UK. He emphasized that as a global brand present in 100 countries, MG does not intend to offer every model in every market. For now, the Cyber Concept primarily serves to communicate MG’s future design direction and vision.
