On July 16, 2026, XPeng officially launched the MONA L03, a globally positioned A-segment intelligent SUV available in both all-electric and super extended-range variants, with a starting price of RMB 123,800. The vehicle is equipped with XPeng’s self-developed Turing AI chip and the second-generation Vision-Language-Action (VLA) large model, and is scheduled for sales in 65 countries and regions in 2026. The all-electric version features an electric motor supplied by Luxshare Intelligent Manufacturing, with a rated power of 70 kW and peak power of 183 kW. It uses CATL’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs with capacities of either 56 kWh or 69 kWh. Depending on the configuration, CLTC range figures are 550 km / 650 km for the Plus trim and 525 km / 625 km for the Max and Ultra SE trims. The lowest combined energy consumption is 11.9 kWh per 100 km, and the fastest 0–100 km/h acceleration time is 6.6 seconds. DC fast charging from 10% to 80% takes as little as approximately 19.1 minutes. The super extended-range variant is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder range extender supplied by Chongqing Sokon Power, delivering a maximum output of 70 kW, paired with a 37.2 kWh LFP battery. It offers a CLTC pure-electric range of 315 km and a combined range of up to 1,380 km, with a WLTC fuel consumption of 5.16 L/100 km under depleted-battery conditions. In terms of intelligent driving, the Max trim is equipped with a single Turing AI chip offering an effective computing power of 750 TOPS, while the Ultra SE trim features dual chips delivering 1,500 TOPS. The software runs the second-generation VLA large model and supports OTA delivery of distilled versions to enhance urban driving assistance capabilities. The intelligent cockpit includes a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display from Tianma Microelectronics, a 26.8-inch W-HUD from Desay Multimedia, a 20-speaker AI audio system, and a dual active noise cancellation system—all powered by MediaTek’s MT8676 chip running the Dimensity AIOS operating system. The chassis adopts a front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension setup, complemented by DCC intelligent variable damping shock absorbers. Braking is handled by Bosch’s IPB intelligent integrated braking system, achieving a 100–0 km/h braking distance of 35.99 meters and a minimum turning radius of 5.25 meters. The vehicle also features an upgraded Smart Motion Sickness Prevention Mode 2.0, which coordinates control of powertrain, steering, and suspension systems. Safety features include seven airbags and 17 active safety functions. The AEB system can activate at speeds up to 150 km/h, while the AES system supports activation up to 130 km/h. In its supply chain strategy, XPeng has achieved in-house development of the Turing AI chip, intelligent driving system, and VLA large model. Key components for powertrain and chassis systems are sourced through partnerships with established suppliers including Luxshare Intelligent Manufacturing, CATL, Chongqing Sokon Power, and Bosch.
