The vehicle features a Qianshan Green two-tone body and a front fascia that continues the design language of the Tang 9 Series, further enhancing the Tang family’s distinctive styling identity. Equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology, the Tang 8 Series delivers a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 850 km. It supports “5-minute charging to a usable state and 9-minute charging to near full capacity,” with charging time increasing by only about 3 minutes even in temperatures as low as -30°C. The Tang 8 Series comes standard with the “God’s Eye B” intelligent driving assistance system, supporting over 300 parking scenarios and suitable for diverse driving conditions, including urban commuting and highway travel. Powering the vehicle is an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 300 kW and a top speed of 250 km/h. With a length of 5,045 mm and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, the Tang 8 Series is positioned as a mid-to-large premium SUV, targeting tech-savvy families seeking both daily commuting comfort and long-distance road trip capability. It directly competes with high-end SUVs such as the Li Auto i8 and Aito M8. Within the Tang family lineup, the Tang 9 Series focuses on the premium, full-size, seven-seat SUV segment for business and luxury use, while the Tang 8 Series targets the home-oriented, tech-flagship niche. The vehicle is expected to launch in the second half of this year.
