GAC Trumpchi's rugged new SUV, the Yue 7, will make its global debut on August 7. The model features the industry’s first application of the flagship 8838 chip, delivering a computing power of 300K DMIPS. The vehicle has already been included in the 407th batch of the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" for new product disclosure. In terms of powertrain, the Yue 7 debuts GAC’s Xingyuan Plug-in Hybrid GMC 3.0 Thunder Edition system. It is equipped with a 1.5T hybrid engine producing a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m. The drive motor delivers a peak power of 205 kW and is paired with a highly integrated multi-in-one P4 rear electric drive unit. The all-wheel-drive system achieves a combined maximum output of 400 kW and a total wheel-end torque of 10,000 N·m. Exterior-wise, the Yue 7 adopts straight, bold lines, featuring a large front bumper and lower body cladding for a rugged appearance. Optional equipment includes LiDAR, an externally mounted spare tire (nicknamed the “small backpack”), and a towing package. Two body size variants are offered: lengths of 4,999 mm or 5,045 mm, widths of 2,004 mm or 2,030 mm, and heights of 1,933 mm or 1,916 mm, all sharing a uniform wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
