Tesla updated the list of regions globally supporting its Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature on its official website on August 22. The feature is currently available in 12 countries and regions: the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, and Belgium—excluding China. On May 21 this year, Tesla had announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Supervised FSD would launch simultaneously in 10 countries and regions, including China. Previously, FSD version 13 underwent limited testing in China across 24 Tesla vehicle models, involving approximately 5,000 participating owners. Tesla’s Shanghai data center already ensures full retention of domestic data within China. Additionally, its AI training center in Lingang, Shanghai, is scheduled to begin operations in February 2026. Tesla has partnered with Baidu Maps to use compliant high-definition maps, and relevant vehicle models have already met four automotive data security standards.
