On the evening of September 14, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC Group, stock code: 601238) announced that it had signed a Letter of Intent with China FAW Co., Ltd. ("FAW") to acquire, through a share issuance, a portion of the equity held by FAW in a certain joint-venture vehicle manufacturing company, along with raising accompanying funds. Trading of GAC Group's shares has been suspended.
