2026-11-05 07:27:00On November 4, FUTURUS officially unveiled its Transparent Panoramic Display technology (TPHUD). The technology adds a nanoscale photonic crystal film to the car's windshield, using the film's selective reflection of light at specific wavelengths to achieve full-width horizontal information display without the need for a black coating at the bottom, spreading driving information horizontally along the lower edge of the glass. In 2016, Xu Junfeng, founder and CEO of FUTURUS, filed a patent for full-windshield transparent display technology. In 2019, the company provided a panoramic display solution for BMW's "Panoramic iDrive" immersive digital experience concept cockpit. In 2024, the company launched a full-windshield transparent display demonstration vehicle. On the mass-production side, FUTURUS's HUD products have been equipped on models including the Li L9, NIO ET9, Lynk & Co 900, and Zeekr 9X. As of 2025, cumulative shipments of the company's HUD products exceeded 1 million units. FUTURUS said TPHUD is one of its technology directions for exploring the integration of spatial display and personal AI interaction. The specific production models and commercialization timeline for the technology have not yet been disclosed.
