On August 6, SAIC-GM-Wuling held a celebration ceremony for the sales of new energy vehicles to exceed 10,000 units in July. IIA learned from SAIC-GM-Wuling that the company’s new energy vehicle sales reached 10,764 units in July, a year-on-year increase of 70%.
Sales of new energy exceeded 10,000 in July, thanks to the Hongguang MINI EV launched by SAIC-GM-Wuling, which focuses on daily commuting and has been given the title of "People's Scooter". During the pre-sale period, Hongguang MINI EV ordered more than 30,000 units, and sales reached 7,348 vehicles in less than a week after the launch.
In addition, the new Baojun E300/E300 Plus also contributed to the sales volume exceeding 10,000, and achieved sales of 1,220 vehicles in July. Although it is the same small car as Hongguang MINI EV, the new Baojun E300/E300 Plus is endowed with more intelligent interconnection technologies, such as support for mobile phone search and vehicle status query, remote air conditioning function, open mobile phone ecology, OTA remote upgrade .
In order to further enhance product competitiveness, SAIC-GM-Wuling launched the new Baojun E100/E200 models on August 1. The NEDC-certified cruising range has been increased to 305 kilometers, enriching the new energy product lineup, and providing new momentum for sales growth. In addition, SAIC-GM-Wuling's sales channels for a number of models have also extended to Tier-3 and tier-4 cities.
