Annual output of BBAC exceeds 600,000 units, up for 11 years in a row

IIA has learned that the production of Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBAC) in 2020 exceeded 600,000 vehicles and achieved rapid growth for 11 consecutive years. At the same time, in 2020, BBAC achieved a total of 3 million engines and the 3 millionth vehicle rolled off the assembly line.

In 2020, BBAC has completed the replacement of the new GLA and the upgrade of the new E-Class. In addition, the cumulative annual sales of BBAC in 2020 reached 614,536, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year. Among them, 46,120 units were sold in December. The annual sales of Mercedes-Benz E-Class were 155,634 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%. The sales volume in December was 11,521 units.

GLA is the entry-level model of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. It is positioned as a cross-border compact SUV. The price range of the new generation of models is 276,800-332,800.
