In 2025, China's installed capacity of power batteries reached 769.7 GWh, an increase of 40.4% year-on-year. Among this, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries accounted for 625.3 GWh, or 81.2% of the total, surging by 52.9% year-on-year; ternary batteries totaled 144.1 GWh, representing 18.7% of the market, up 3.7% year-on-year. In December alone, the monthly installed capacity reached 98.1 GWh, a 4.9% increase from November. For the full year, combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 1,755.6 GWh, sales totaled 1,700.5 GWh, and exports amounted to 305.0 GWh, rising by 60.1%, 63.6%, and 50.7% year-on-year, respectively. Notably, exports of energy storage batteries grew robustly, reaching 115.3 GWh for the year—a 67.9% year-on-year increase.
