Yu Zhi Jin, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit, announced that Huawei's Qiankun Smart Driving system has surpassed 10 billion kilometers in cumulative assisted-driving mileage within China. By the end of 2025, the system had been installed in 1.4 million vehicles. Jin stated that Level 3 conditional automated driving is an essential step toward achieving Level 4 and Level 5 full autonomy, as it facilitates data accumulation, helps users adapt to evolving roles, and enables the development of relevant legal frameworks and insurance models. He predicted that 2026 could mark the dawn of global autonomous driving and reaffirmed Huawei’s commitment to not manufacturing cars itself, but instead focusing on becoming the "electronic nuts and bolts" of the intelligent connected vehicle era—empowering global automakers to build and sell better vehicles.
