While several competitors have exited the large luxury sedan segment, BMW continues to advance its 7 Series lineup. Audi and Lexus have discontinued their A8 and LS models, respectively, shifting focus in the near term toward three-row luxury SUVs. In contrast, BMW and Mercedes-Benz remain committed to their flagship four-door sedans, both recently unveiling updated versions. The all-new 2027 BMW 7 Series features subtle exterior revisions, a significantly upgraded interior, and overall enhanced performance. The all-electric i7 sees increased range, while the gasoline-powered variants deliver improved powertrain performance. Pricing starts at $101,350 for the entry-level rear-wheel-drive 7 Series, with the xDrive all-wheel-drive version starting at $104,350. The i7 50 xDrive begins at $107,750, and the higher-performance i7 60 xDrive is priced at $126,250. Additionally, a plug-in hybrid variant is expected to join the lineup later this year.
