At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, DeepRoute.ai revealed that over 300,000 vehicles in China are already equipped with its advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), and it expects this number to grow by an additional one million units in 2026. The company has partnered with brands including Great Wall Motor, Geely, and Smart, covering more than 15 vehicle models priced primarily between RMB 150,000 and RMB 300,000. DeepRoute.ai CEO Zhou Guang stated that the company has fully shifted to a large-model-based autonomous driving technology roadmap, arguing that smaller models suffer from a "seesaw effect," making it difficult to achieve comprehensive safety coverage across all driving scenarios. Its multimodal large model capabilities achieved a breakthrough in early 2026, delivering significantly higher baseline performance compared to the previous generation of technology. The company aims to achieve a thousand-kilometer-level MPCI (Manual Interventions Per Thousand Kilometers) metric in 2026. Chief Scientist Ruan Chong delivered his first public speech during the auto show, explaining that the company is transitioning from multiple small-model architectures to a unified foundation large model, further refined into three specialized models for driving, analysis, and commentary. The current model iteration cycle has been reduced from over 100 hours to just over 10 hours.
