At the Beijing Auto Show, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Motors, stated that the company plans to achieve autonomous driving capabilities in China by August this year that will comprehensively surpass Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. Currently, Tesla's FSD has not received regulatory approval for the Chinese market and thus cannot be deployed or directly compared in real-world conditions in China. He added that XPeng's Vision-Language-Action (VLA) system has already demonstrated superior performance to Tesla's FSD in certain complex driving scenarios.
