On May 17, Denza, BYD’s premium new energy vehicle brand, announced that Wang Leehom, a renowned Mandopop artist, has become its global brand ambassador. The endorsement deal is valued at over RMB 10 million, and Wang’s team stated that the entire amount will be used to purchase BYD shares. Wang first engaged with BYD in February 2024, when he visited the company’s headquarters and delivered well-wishes to its employees. Li Hui, General Manager of Denza, expressed her hope that the collaboration would convey the brand’s philosophy through the fusion of music and technology. Wang Leehom is Denza’s second global ambassador, following Daniel Craig, star of the “007” film series. He will attend the launch event for the Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition in Guangzhou on May 18.
