CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery) has confirmed its entry into Xiaomi Auto's supply chain and will supply batteries for Xiaomi's new vehicle. In response to market rumors regarding the battery supplier for Xiaomi’s third car model, CALB stated that it has indeed become a battery supplier for Xiaomi Auto and is likely the primary supplier ("Tier-1"). However, CALB added that circulating reports about its supply share and ranking are inaccurate, noting that specific details and data on battery integration cannot be disclosed due to confidentiality agreements with its client. Xiaomi Auto declined to comment on the matter, citing the highly confidential nature of its automotive-related information. Public data shows that in 2025, CALB ranked fourth globally and third domestically in terms of power battery installations, achieving annual revenue of RMB 44.4 billion, a 60% year-over-year increase, and net profit of RMB 2.095 billion, up 148.4% year-over-year.
