Dongfeng Yipai and Huawei Qiankun Elevate Strategic Partnership, Unveiling Three New Models This Year—Flagship M8 Debuting May 23

On May 19, Xu Zhijun, Huawei's Rotating Chairman, and Jin Yuzhi, Senior Vice President of Huawei and CEO of Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Automotive Solutions, visited Dongfeng Motor Corporation headquarters. On the same day, Dongfeng Yipai and Huawei Qiankun signed an upgraded strategic cooperation agreement, elevating their collaboration—from intelligent driving and smart cockpit technologies—to comprehensive synergy encompassing deeper joint R&D, more vehicle models, optimized operations, and stronger marketing efforts. As the first jointly developed model, the Dongfeng Yipai M8 will be equipped with Huawei Qiankun’s latest intelligent automotive solutions, including Qiankun ADS 5 Pro autonomous driving system, HarmonyOS Smart Cabin, Qiankun Vehicle Control, Qiankun Vehicle Cloud, and WhaleFin connectivity technologies. The vehicle will make its global debut on May 23. Additionally, two more co-developed models are scheduled for launch later this year, targeting three key segments: large six-seater SUVs, large five-seater SUVs, and performance coupes.
