On May 22, Chinese new energy vehicle brand Deepal announced in Lisbon, Portugal, that it has become the Global Official Partner of the Portugal national football team. At the event, Deepal delivered its global strategic model, the Deepal S05, to the Portugal national team and simultaneously launched a European long-distance testing program covering a total distance of 1,000 kilometers. To date, Deepal has surpassed 800,000 cumulative global deliveries, with operations spanning approximately 100 countries and regions. As the cornerstone of Changan Automobile’s new energy strategy, Deepal leverages core technologies such as the Yuanli Ultra-Integrated Electric Drive and Jinzhongzhao Battery, and was the first in China to obtain an official license plate for L3-level autonomous driving. The Deepal S05 ranked as China’s best-selling compact SUV in April and has topped Spain’s compact all-electric SUV registration charts for two consecutive months. The model also secured first place in the J.D. Power 2026 China New Energy Vehicle Initial Quality Study (IQS) for compact all-electric SUVs and received the German iF Design Award. Deepal has established localized overseas production and compliance systems, with its Thailand factory already operational, serving global right-hand-drive markets. Its Deepal S07 model has achieved dual five-star safety ratings from both Europe and Australia. Deepal stated that it will continue advancing its strategic transformation from “product globalization” to “comprehensive brand and industrial globalization.”
