The new M-Hero M817 will officially open for pre-orders on May 29, alongside the launch of the high-performance M817 Ultimate variant. The vehicle retains the current model’s rugged exterior design and features minor interior upgrades, with a primary focus on optimizing its powertrain system. It is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system delivering a maximum engine output of 165 kW, and offers two battery pack options—51.9 kWh and 62.5 kWh—providing WLTC-rated all-electric ranges of 202 km and 207 km, respectively. As a plug-in hybrid off-road SUV, the M817 measures 5,100 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,899 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,005 mm and approach and departure angles both set at 31°. The M-Hero M817 Ultimate was previously unveiled at an auto show, featuring an official hardcore off-road modification package. It debuts the brand’s “Ji Meng” Powertrain 2.0 and “Pan Shi” Chassis 2.0 systems and is slated to compete in the 2026 Rally Raid China (Taklimakan Rally). This version is equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line LiDAR, debuts the Qiankun NCA off-road intelligent driving system, and integrates the advanced Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving platform along with HarmonyOS Cockpit 6.
