Volkswagen (Anhui) Digital Sales & Services Co., Ltd. announced on May 28 that Liu Zhanshu, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO), will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective July 1, 2026. This appointment is part of the company’s long-term talent pipeline strategy and organizational planning, aimed at strengthening organizational stability and enhancing sustainable business development capabilities. Liu Zhanshu holds a bachelor's degree from China Youth University of Political Studies and an MBA from Tsinghua University. He has also completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD). With nearly two decades of experience in the automotive industry—including approximately ten years at Volkswagen Group—he previously held key positions at Audi and FAW-Volkswagen. In November 2025, he joined Volkswagen (Anhui) Digital Sales & Services Co., Ltd. as COO, overseeing overall operations management and driving critical strategic alignment initiatives. Following his appointment, Liu will concurrently serve as both CEO and COO. The current CEO, Tang Tingwan, will conclude his assignment in China as planned. During his tenure, Tang led the initial launch and market introduction of the ID. series and made significant contributions to establishing the company’s digital sales and service system and preparing its annual product offensive.
