On May 29, FAW Group held the global pre-sale launch event for the Yueyi 08 at its Changchun Innovation and Technology Base. The new model is offered in a range-extended version and two all-electric variants with ranges of 565 km and 650 km, totaling six configurations. Official pre-sale prices range from RMB 104,900 to RMB 144,900. Customers can choose from six exterior colors and four interior color schemes. Positioned as a B+-class “next-generation intelligent family-oriented coupe,” the Yueyi 08 measures 4,920 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,475 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. According to FAW, it features six segment-exclusive and six segment-leading specifications. Its aerodynamic drag coefficient is an industry-leading 0.198 Cd, achieved through a 1:4.1 wheel-to-wheelbase ratio and a 1:2.1 wheel-to-height ratio. Exterior highlights include frameless electric suction doors, frameless side mirrors, and digital lighting clusters. Available paint options are Starry Purple, Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Sky Blue, Forest Green, and Electric White. In terms of performance, the Yueyi 08 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. The 650 km all-electric variant supports an 800V high-voltage platform and 6C ultra-fast charging technology, enabling a claimed charging speed of “one kilometer per second.” The range-extended version delivers a combined range of up to 1,765 km. The chassis adopts a rear-wheel-drive layout with a balanced 50:50 axle load distribution and a five-link rear suspension, complemented by FSD variable-damping shock absorbers and Bosch CST coordinated control system, along with anti-motion-sickness technology. For intelligent features, all trims come standard with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P dual-NPU chips, supporting functions such as MBTI personality-based AI agents, AI-generated travel logs, and automatic photo capture. The audio system includes a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos setup with microphone-free karaoke capability. Advanced driver assistance is powered by Huawei’s Qiankun computing platform and LiDAR, offering 24 features including highway NOA, memory parking, and 120-meter reverse tracking. Safety-wise, the body features a nine-by-nine cage-like structure with 83% high-strength steel, reinforced specifically at the A-pillars, B-pillars, and sill beams. Door impact beams boast a strength of 2,200 MPa. It also offers a segment-exclusive nine-airbag system, increasing coverage area by 35%. The battery has passed 169 tests exceeding national standards, featuring triple-layer protection and 24/7 cloud monitoring. Even in low temperatures, the cells retain 93.3% of their energy capacity. FAW is also introducing its “521 PLUS” ownership benefits program, which includes five lifetime guarantees: whole-vehicle lifetime warranty, lifetime warranty on the “three electric systems” (for the first three years regardless of ownership changes), free replacement if battery degradation exceeds 30%, full compensation for smart parking-related accidents, and lifetime comprehensive roadside assistance. Additionally, the brand offers the “Two Plans + One Home” user care initiative and pledges to replace any vehicle—sold or currently on sale—with a new one in the event of a spontaneous combustion caused by the three electric systems, with no restrictions on ownership or warranty period.
