On May 31, the BYD roll-on/roll-off vessel "Jinan" departed from Nantong Port in Jiangsu Province, carrying 7,273 new energy vehicles bound for European countries including Italy and Spain. The export shipment was successfully completed with support from authorities such as the Qidong Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station. The vehicles were transported by rail and road from cities including Hefei, Xi’an, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang to the Yanglü Railway Logistics Base, and exported via a combined sea-rail intermodal transport system, integrating road, rail, and maritime logistics. This milestone marks Nantong Port’s capability to handle large-scale exports of finished automobiles and opens a new channel for China’s new energy vehicle exports.
