On June 1, Cadillac launched the Lyriq V, its high-performance luxury all-electric SUV, starting at RMB 399,900. Only 124 units will be produced. Buyers will enjoy a range of benefits, including a RMB 20,000 trade-in subsidy (applicable across brands), a 3-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty, lifetime coverage for the triple electric system (battery, motor, and power electronics), and lifetime V-CLUB membership for the first owner. The Lyriq V marks Cadillac’s first all-electric performance SUV under the V-Series lineup. It features a full suite of V-Series high-performance aerodynamic components, including a large low-drag front splitter, streamlined side air deflectors, an aerodynamic rear spoiler, and a sharp-edged rear diffuser. The model is also offered in an exclusive “Luminous Phantom Silver” exterior color. Inside, the Lyriq V is equipped with V-Series-specific front sport seats featuring adjustable side bolsters, upholstered in FineNappa full-grain leather and adorned with V badging. The seats offer adjustable bolster angles, memory settings, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The audio system is a premium 23-speaker AKG setup, adding four overhead speakers to the standard 19-speaker configuration. Under the hood, the Lyriq V is powered by a high-performance silicon-carbide dual-motor all-wheel-drive system incorporating dual-sided liquid cooling, hairpin winding technology, and segmented magnets. These innovations boost motor power density by 20%, delivering a maximum output of 465 kW and peak torque of 863 N·m, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.3 seconds. Inspired by Le Mans racing circuits, the vehicle offers three professional driving modes, activated via the V-Mode button on the steering wheel and accompanied by a V-exclusive racing-inspired instrument cluster UI. Additionally, the Lyriq V features a V-Series-tuned active sound system that generates customized engine-like roars during acceleration and RPM changes, providing immersive stereo feedback both inside and outside the cabin. The chassis utilizes high-rigidity five-link independent suspension at both front and rear, paired with 21-inch lightweight flow-formed wheels, V-badged Brembo six-piston brake calipers, and V-tuned CDC (Continuous Damping Control) adaptive dampers.
