The all-new all-electric GLC SUV will open for pre-orders on June 5 and is scheduled to officially launch in July. The vehicle was previously unveiled at an auto show, featuring Mercedes-Benz’s latest design language, including an illuminated grille with 942 polycarbonate backlighting elements and headlights integrated with the brand’s iconic star motif. The vehicle measures 4,949 mm (or 4,933 mm) in length, 1,970 mm (or 1,914 mm) in width, and 1,710 mm (or 1,690 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,027 mm, and adopts a unibody construction. Inside, the cabin features a dual-screen layout, with the central display equipped with 1,000 individually controlled LED backlighting zones and powered by the “Xiao Ben” virtual assistant. Standard amenities include wireless smartphone charging, dual cup holders, a Burmester sound system with 19 speakers, and a large panoramic sunroof with ambient starlight lighting. A six-seat variant is available with optional second-row individual seats featuring ventilation and heating functions. The powertrain is built on an 800-volt electrical architecture and uses an 85.5 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated range exceeding 700 kilometers. The vehicle supports a peak charging power of 320 kW, enabling it to charge from 10% to 80% state of charge in just 22 minutes.
