FAW Yueyi 08 Launches Global Pre-sales with Six Models Starting at ¥104,900

On May 29, the FAW Yueyi 08 made its global debut at the pre-sale launch event, with an official pre-sale price range of RMB 104,900 to RMB 144,900. The new model offers six variants in total: a range-extended version and two all-electric versions with CLTC-rated ranges of 565 km and 650 km respectively. Positioned as a B+-class “next-gen smart premium family coupe,” it measures 4,920 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Its wide-body, low-slung design features an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.198 Cd, a wheel-to-axle ratio of 1:4.1, and a wheel-to-height ratio of 1:2.1. All variants come standard with Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving system, equipped with LiDAR and supporting 24 advanced driver-assistance functions—including highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), memory parking, and 120-meter trace reverse. The intelligent cabin is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295P dual-NPU chip, complemented by a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system and microphone-free karaoke functionality. In terms of performance, the all-electric version delivers up to 650 km of CLTC-rated range, while the range-extended variant achieves a combined range of 1,765 km. Both support 800V high-voltage fast charging, enabling “one kilometer per second” rapid charging capability, and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive chassis features a balanced 50:50 axle load distribution and a five-link rear suspension, paired with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers and Bosch’s CST coordinated braking system. Additionally, it incorporates proprietary anti-motion-sickness technology for enhanced ride comfort. Safety-wise, the body adopts a nine-by-nine longitudinal-and-transverse cage structure, with 83% high-strength steel content. Critical areas such as A/B-pillars and sill beams are reinforced. It is equipped with nine airbags—the only model in its class to offer this—and its battery has passed 169 tests exceeding national standards, featuring triple-layer armor protection and 24/7 cloud-based monitoring. The vehicle maintains a remarkable 93.3% range retention rate in cold temperatures. Exterior color options include Starry Purple, Midnight Black, Titanium Grey, Sky Blue, Forest Green, and Electric White. Interior trims are available in Serene Black, Warm Brown, Refreshing Purple, and Relaxed Grey, all rendered in a curved minimalist design with an asymmetrical dual-C-seat layout. During the pre-sale period, customers who place orders will enjoy benefits including an RMB 88 deposit that expands to RMB 2,000, RMB 3,999 worth of charging credits, and multiple free data packages.
