Momenta has officially obtained the Intelligent and Connected Vehicle (ICV) road testing and pilot application permit from Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, and has been conducting related tests locally since January 2024, making Wuxi its newest city for advanced autonomous driving demonstrations. According to its roadmap, Momenta plans to expand advanced autonomous driving deployment to multiple new cities and regions globally in 2024, focusing on validating technology in diverse scenarios and exploring mobility services for public benefit. In the first half of this year, the company unveiled a technical solution based on its reinforcement learning world model "R7," which has already been applied in L4 autonomous driving operations to enhance vehicle performance in complex environments. On the ecosystem front, Momenta has established strategic partnerships with mobility platforms such as Uber, Grab, Lumo, and Enjoy Auto, as well as automakers like Mercedes-Benz, to jointly accelerate the large-scale adoption of autonomous driving services. Currently, its Robotaxi service is operational in Shanghai and Suzhou (China), Munich (Germany), and Abu Dhabi (UAE), with plans to further expand into other European markets, Singapore, and Japan.
