Cao Kangbo, Director and Vice President of Seres Group, stated that the company has pursued a dual-technology strategy of "pure electric + range-extended" since 2016, and its Super Range-Extended technology has now undergone five iterations. According to the company's roadmap, Seres aims to achieve a 37.5% market share in the range extender business by 2025, ranking first in the industry. The technological evolution includes: - The first generation established a pure electric drive technology roadmap; - The second generation introduced a multi-point power generation strategy; - The third generation proposed, for the first time, an oil-to-electricity conversion efficiency metric; - The fourth generation achieved highly integrated "Super Range-Extended Multi-in-One" architecture; - The fifth generation integrated AI with advanced control strategies. In April 2024, Seres completed development of its fifth-generation 2.0T Super Range-Extended technology, achieving integrated "vehicle-electricity-motor-charging" architecture. Leveraging an 800V+ high-voltage platform, an 8-in-1 electric drive system, and a nationwide ultra-fast charging network, the company has significantly optimized mileage per kilowatt-hour. In intelligent safety, Seres has built a "safety defined by scenarios" framework covering nine domains, including active safety, passive safety, and health safety. In smart cabin development, the company is creating an "intelligent mobile space" based on an L4 autonomous driving architecture. Regarding digital and intelligent manufacturing, Seres has deployed an industrial AI large model to establish an intelligent connected manufacturing system, enabling fully automated real-time monitoring across more than 36,000 quality control points.
