Recently, the Yipai 007+ completed an OTA update, officially launching the urban Navigation on Autopilot (urban NOA) feature of its Tianyuan Intelligent Driving T200 advanced driver-assistance system. This system employs a domestic-chip-based, end-to-end, map-free solution that operates without reliance on high-definition maps, instead making driving decisions through real-time perception, AI large models, and online mapping. On the hardware side, the system is powered by Horizon Robotics’ J6M chip, delivering 128 TOPS of computing power. It features a 100-line LiDAR with a detection range of 1 to 200 meters and an accuracy of ±5 cm; forward detection also reaches 200 meters with the same ±5 cm precision. Surrounding the vehicle are four surround-view cameras and twelve ultrasonic sensors, enabling 360-degree blind-spot-free perception. Leveraging a joint prediction-and-planning model and multi-task learning, the system effectively handles complex urban scenarios such as cut-ins, occlusions, and sudden pedestrian crossings (“ghost probing”). Test data shows a straight-through success rate exceeding 99% at urban intersections and turning success rates above 97% for both left and right turns, making it suitable for everyday driving on national and provincial highways. Additional capabilities include pre-braking in blind spots, prompt acceleration when traffic lights turn green, and smooth maneuvering around temporarily parked vehicles. Specific driving functionalities include lane changes triggered by turn signals, navigation-guided lane changes, and overtaking maneuvers; automatic recognition and passage through signalized intersections; proactive judgment and smooth traversal of unsignalized intersections; avoidance of static road obstacles like guardrails and traffic cones; automatic entry, navigation, and exit of roundabouts; and stable U-turn execution. Dongfeng Motor stated that it will continue optimizing perception algorithms and training its AI large models to enhance the performance of its map-free, end-to-end solution, with ongoing iterations planned for the Tianyuan Intelligent Driving T200 system.
