Recently, a prototype of the Fanghezi (boxy-style) SUV from the Luxeed brand was spotted during road testing. The vehicle features a bold, angular exterior design and newly styled headlights that distinguish it from the brand’s current family design language. A slight bulge is visible on the roof, likely reserved for Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line dual-path imaging-grade LiDAR system. Based on the brand’s product launch schedule, the SUV is expected to debut before China’s National Day holiday and may soon be submitted for inclusion in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) vehicle catalog. The new model is anticipated to feature Huawei’s next-generation HarmonyOS cockpit exclusive to AITO and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system. During AITO’s year-end livestream event in December 2023, company executives hinted at significant innovations in both exterior and interior design for the upcoming Luxeed model. CCTV host Sa Beining described its appearance as “strikingly cool.” BAIC Group later confirmed that the vehicle is a rugged, boxy-style SUV and announced plans to launch several additional original models this year, including an MPV.
