During a live broadcast from the XPeng GX intelligent manufacturing plant, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Inc., revealed that the GX model has already received approximately 1,000 blind pre-orders from overseas markets—including the Middle East—despite not yet announcing its international pricing, following its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. He stated that there is clear demand for the vehicle in at least four major overseas regions. Currently, the company is prioritizing domestic deliveries and will officially launch and open pre-sales in the Middle East as its first international market. The XPeng GX was launched domestically on May 20, offering both all-electric and super extended-range powertrain options, with a time-limited starting price of RMB 269,800. Within 12 hours of its launch, it garnered 24,863 firm orders. He Xiaopeng also noted that L3-level autonomous driving is expected to be implemented globally starting in Q1 2025. XPeng’s second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action large model) is currently undergoing overseas testing, and the company remains optimistic about its international market performance. Wu Anfei, General Manager of XPeng’s Product Portfolio, added that the pace of the company’s global expansion will accelerate.
