The Hua Jing S officially launched on May 8, offering four trim levels priced between RMB 149,800 and RMB 193,800. All variants come standard with Huawei’s Qiankun Smart System. Targeting the large six-seater family SUV segment, the Hua Jing S is designed to meet the needs of multi-child families and three-generation households, featuring a genuine three-row layout that comfortably accommodates adults in the third row. It also offers multiple range options and a finely tuned chassis system. As of June 1—just three weeks after its market debut—the Hua Jing S had delivered 3,603 units. This delivery volume was achieved during the production ramp-up phase without compromising quality. SAIC-GM-Wuling implemented its new Intelligent Island Manufacturing System (I²MS) in production, achieving assembly precision of 0.1mm and a zero-mistake vehicle assembly rate. Any components with dimensional deviations or defects are immediately scrapped, with no rework or reuse permitted. Each vehicle is assigned a unique digital quality file (“one car, one file”) to ensure full traceability and control throughout the entire manufacturing process. On the supply chain front, the Hua Jing S collaborates with global industry leaders including Baosteel, CATL, Huawei Qiankun, Autoliv, and Yanfeng, covering key areas such as body materials, batteries, intelligent systems, safety, and interior components. On the service side, it leverages a nationwide network of 309 experience centers and 1,200 dedicated advisors to provide 24/7 concierge-style delivery and after-sales support. In today’s large six-seater SUV market—characterized by stark polarization, where premium models suffer from lagging intelligence features despite high prices, while budget options lack practical space and build quality—the Hua Jing S fills a critical gap by offering advanced smart configurations across all trims, authentic six-seat usability, and high manufacturing standards—all under RMB 200,000. This move is widely seen as a pivotal step in SAIC-GM-Wuling’s strategy to elevate its brand and break into the mid-to-high-end market segment.
