Tesla Sells White-Label Supercharger Kits to Third Parties in Europe

Tesla has launched a comprehensive Supercharger solution for third-party businesses in Europe, enabling companies to purchase its V4 charging stations along with associated hardware and software systems and operate them under their own brand. The solution supports charging power up to 500 kW and is compatible with vehicles featuring electrical architectures ranging from 400V to 1000V. A single system can deliver up to 1,200 kW of shared power across as many as eight parking spaces. Businesses can independently set pricing and operational models, while Tesla generates revenue through equipment sales, software licensing, and ongoing services. Tesla’s official website now features a return-on-investment calculator to help potential customers evaluate construction costs and payback periods. According to company estimates, the equipment cost for a standard 8-stall V4 Supercharger station is approximately €264,000 (about RMB 2.079 million), with total investment—including installation and grid connection—reaching roughly €658,000 (about RMB 5.181 million). Based on Tesla’s simulation data, under high-utilization scenarios, such a charging station could generate cumulative revenue of approximately €6.2 million (about RMB 48.815 million) over 15 years, averaging around €414,000 (about RMB 3.26 million) per year. Target customers include supermarkets, gas stations, hotels, parking operators, and energy companies. This move marks a strategic evolution in Tesla’s Supercharger network—from initially serving only Tesla owners, to opening access to other EV brands, and now advancing toward an infrastructure-as-a-service business model.
