Lynk & Co currently offers only two all-electric models—the Z10 and Z20—with pure EV sales accounting for 15% of the brand’s total sales. The remainder is primarily supported by internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Constrained by its product portfolio, Lynk & Co reported May sales of approximately 20,700 units, down 25% year-over-year. From January to May, cumulative sales totaled around 125,100 units, a 2% decline compared to the same period last year. Zhou Jian, Executive Deputy General Manager of Lynk & Co Sales Company, noted that in the mid-to-large sedan segment, the historical sales split among ICE, PHEV, and BEV vehicles was 40%, 20%, and 40%, respectively. By May this year, this ratio is expected to gradually shift to 30%, 20%, and 50%. He added that market concentration in this segment is evident, with models like the Xiaomi SU7 consistently ranking among the top sellers, while niche models face increasingly limited room to survive. Zhou also acknowledged that the Lynk & Co Z10 previously suffered from negative consumer feedback due to a significant price gap between its 400V and 800V variants. Taking into account factors such as rising costs of chips and battery raw materials, future products will adopt a “right-first-time” pricing strategy to avoid harming customers and dealers through post-launch price adjustments. To enhance market recognition of its pure electric vehicles, Lynk & Co plans to launch additional BEV models in the second half of this year, using models like the Lynk & Co 10 and 10+ to establish a foothold and pave the way for subsequent products. Lin Jie, Senior Vice President of Geely Auto Group and General Manager of Lynk & Co Sales Company, emphasized that Lynk & Co will not engage in disorderly price competition. He believes short-term price cuts are unsustainable and that building a premium Chinese brand requires systematic product strength to navigate industry cycles successfully. According to additional data, Geely Automobile Holdings reported total sales of 237,637 units in May, up 1% year-over-year. Of this, Lynk & Co sold 20,732 units (down 25% YoY), Zeekr delivered 34,377 units (up 82% YoY), and Geely Galaxy recorded sales of 81,727 units (down 20% YoY).
