GAC Motor’s all-new plug-in hybrid midsize MPV, the Trumpchi E8 PHEV, will officially launch on June 11. The vehicle made its debut earlier at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show and has already opened for pre-orders, with an expected price of around RMB 200,000. In terms of exterior design, the E8 PHEV adopts a fresh design language featuring a medium-sized front grille adorned with radial-patterned accents and integrated air intakes on both sides. It is complemented by a full-width LED daytime running light strip and LED headlamps, delivering a distinctive closed-front appearance typical of new energy vehicles. The side profile showcases smooth lines, a floating roof design, large multi-spoke alloy wheels, and power-sliding side doors. At the rear, a full-width LED taillight spans the tailgate, while a roof-mounted spoiler enhances aerodynamics. Inside, the cabin prioritizes family comfort with a T-shaped dashboard layout extensively wrapped in soft-touch materials. It features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen. The second row consists of two independent captain’s chairs equipped with leg rests, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Additional amenities include a 17.3-inch multi-angle foldable rear entertainment screen, fold-out rear tray tables, and a three-zone in-car refrigerator. Powering the E8 PHEV is a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 125 kW, and the vehicle offers an all-electric range of up to 205 km.
