Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari hypercar in France, limited to just 499 units worldwide. The vehicle features a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with three axial-flux electric motors, delivering a combined output of 1,001 horsepower. The combustion engine alone produces 800 hp and revs up to 10,000 rpm, while each of the three electric motors contributes 150 hp—two mounted on the front axle for all-wheel drive and torque vectoring, and the third integrated into the dual-clutch transmission. Performance figures are staggering: 0–100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. Visually, the Nuvolari marks the first time an Audi road car adopts a full carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) body, paired with an aluminum Audi Space Frame structure. Its front fascia features a new Singleframe grille composed of 64 movable metal elements, while the rear houses a three-stage active rear wing capable of generating up to 400 kg of downforce. Inside, the cabin prioritizes driver focus—dark-colored surfaces minimize visual distractions, and all displays and controls are positioned within the driver’s direct line of sight. Audi has not disclosed the official price, but it is expected to exceed €500,000.
