On July 16, a specialized technical exchange event focusing on areas such as the "three electric" systems (battery, motor, and power electronics), powertrain, intelligent driving, smart cockpit, intelligent chassis, interior and exterior vehicle components, advanced materials, and large AI models will be held at FAW Jiefang. The event will bring together high-quality suppliers in these fields for in-depth collaboration with FAW Jiefang’s R&D teams to drive technological co-innovation. Since its establishment in 2003, FAW Jiefang has been dedicated to the full value chain of heavy-duty, medium-duty, light-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, and buses. Its product portfolio spans multiple series, including the J7, Yingtu, J6, and JH6. The company has fully deployed new energy vehicle offerings across battery-electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell platforms. FAW Jiefang has maintained the No. 1 market share in China's medium- and heavy-duty truck segment for nine consecutive years, reaching 22.6% in 2025. Its tractor trucks have led sales for 18 consecutive years, while its cargo trucks and natural gas vehicles also consistently rank first in the industry. Moreover, FAW Jiefang has topped China’s commercial vehicle brand value rankings for 14 consecutive years. Technologically, FAW Jiefang has built a comprehensive independent innovation system, anchored by its Commercial Vehicle Development Institute, which comprises core R&D departments covering medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, light-duty vehicles, new energy vehicles, and intelligent connected vehicles—forming a complete chain from forward-looking research to engineering development. Its self-developed Level 4 autonomous heavy-duty trucks are already operating commercially in scenarios such as ports and highways. Amid the global automotive industry’s accelerated transformation toward electrification, intelligence, connectivity, and lightweighting, FAW Jiefang is continuously advancing technology iterations across its full range of vehicle categories. By deepening supply chain collaboration and building an integrated industrial ecosystem, the company aims to support high-quality development. This technical exchange event seeks to establish an efficient platform for alignment, foster resource sharing across the upstream and downstream supply chain, and jointly advance the transformation and upgrading of the commercial vehicle industry.
