Changan Automobile recently listed its 40% stake in Changan Ford New Energy Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. for transfer on the Chongqing United Equity Exchange, with a minimum asking price of RMB 154 million. Established in September 2023, Changan Ford New Energy was originally tasked with leading Ford’s electrification transformation in China, with business operations covering the sales and after-sales services of Ford-branded vehicles produced by Changan Ford. However, the company’s operations have been suspended since October 1, 2025. According to its equity structure, Changan Ford holds 60% and Changan Automobile holds 40%. The company’s main product, the Ford Mustang Mach-E, has performed poorly in the market, recording only 35 units sold throughout 2025.
